Congratulations to Cosby who are the 2024 winners of Ryder division and congratulations to Whetstone who are the 2024 winners of Walker division. Cosby and Whetstone will meet in the play-off final at The Leicestershire Golf Club on the 15th September to decide our 2024 league champions.
Welcome to Charnwood Forest Golf Club and Rothley Park Golf Club
We are pleased to announce that Charnwood Forest Golf Club and Rothley Park Golf Club will be joining the Leicestershire & Rutland B Team Golf League from the 2025 season.
Our 2023 Champions are Beedles Lake GC
Yes in a closely fought play-off final at Glen Gorse GC on Wednesday 6th September, Beedles Lake triumphed by 3 1/2 to 1 1/2. This fantastic result for Captain Ian and his team means that Beedles Lake are L&R Champions for a record 4th time. Congratulations to all at Beedles Lake GC and to Humberstone Heights GC – both having had a fantastic season.
The climax to every season is Finals Day and this time it was Scraptoft GC who hosted the event. 12 clubs and 96 golfers competing for a myriad of trophies and prizes. Our Team of the Day was Cosby GC; our Champion Golfer of the Day was Nick Jelley (41 points) of Kibworth GC and our 2023 Player of the Year is Jason Newbury-Smith of Forest Hill (41 points).
Season 2023 has proved, once again, that this League is the major golfing event in Leicestershire and Rutland and we welcome our two new clubs into the League for 2024 season.

The L&R B Team League is competed in 2 Divisions each of 7 clubs. The divisional winners then playoff on a neutral course to determine who our overall champions will be
The L&R B Team League goes from strength to strength and has secured the prominent golfing tournament in L&R. We enjoy the competitiveness, the camaraderie and the ‘dinner banter’ and we cement old friendships, and make new ones. “We relish many great ‘battles’ in 2024.”
